Niculai Constantinescu, is a freelance photographer based in Hamburg, where he was born in 1983. He has been working professionally since 2004.

Strongly influenced by lifestyle and music culture, his work includes international campaigns for well-known fashion brands and record labels worldwide.

In Germany, he has played a significant role within the hip-hop scene, photographing numerous album covers for renowned artist , several of which achieved gold album status.

Driven by a deep passion for music, Niculai Constantinescu has also worked extensively with reggae and dancehall artists, collaborating with nearly every major artist Jamaica has to offer. His work has been widely published, including numerous editorial features and magazine covers in international publications.

A key pillar of his career is his long-term collaboration with the fashion brand WRSTBHVR. Over the past six years—and ongoing—he has been responsible for the brand’s complete visual output, spanning photography and video.

Working closely with the founder and creative direction, he helped build, shape, and continuously develop the brand’s visual identity and creative direction.

Niculai Constantinescu’s work is defined by genuine, unaffected portraits and a strong sense of expressivity, capturing authenticity, character, and emotion. He currently lives and works in Hamburg.
